An introduction to supporting patients through the opioid crisis

  • 28 Aug 2024
  • 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM

The Public Health Agency of Canada released data at the beginning of 2024 that showed the number of opioid-related overdoses and deaths in 2023 increased across the country. As such, family physicians should feel comfortable providing comprehensive care to patients prescribed opioid agonist therapies (OATs). In this session, our panel will discuss the benefits of OATs and collaborating with specialists to care for stable patients on OATs within primary care.

The Practising Well Community of Practice has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Ontario Chapter for up to 1 Mainpro+Ⓡcredits.
