In Conversation With… Rhonelle Bruder on Centring Survivors’ Voices to Combat Sex Trafficking

Description

Sex trafficking is taking place in every corner of the country, yet little research has been done on when or why it happens — or how best to support survivors. Through her research at the University of Toronto’s Dalla Lana School of Public Health and Women's College Research Institute, Ph.D. candidate Rhonelle Bruder is hoping to change that.

She will join our host and moderator Jennifer Bernard, President & CEO of Women’s College Hospital Foundation to discuss the insidious billion-dollar industry of sex trafficking. They will also explore how research that centres the experiences of survivors will help to transform care and shape resources.

This event is generously supported by HART (Human Anti-Trafficking Response Team).

Our sessions include live closed captions generated by Zoom.
