The third edition of Alcohol No Ordinary Commodity (ANOC3) has been released. This event is being held by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health to promote the third edition of ANOC3.

The book's key findings will be presented by the following authors:

• Thomas Babor, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine (United States of America)
• Bundit Sornpaisarn, Staff Scientist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (Canada)
• Jürgen Rehm, Senior Scientist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (Canada), and Member of WHO/Europe’s Advisory Council on Innovation for Noncommunicable Diseases; and
• Kate Graham, Scientist Emeritus at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (Canada)

The authors will review the recent trends in drinking patterns and alcohol-related problems, summarize the evidence on the most effective and cost-effective policy options to reduce consumption and harms, and discuss the growing influence of the alcohol industry in policy-making.

After the key findings a panel discussion will be held regarding key messages and policy directions which will be moderated by Jean-François Crépault, Senior Policy Analyst at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (Canada).

A copy of the PDF version of ANOC3 will be provided during the event.
