Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness

In this webinar Tim Richter of the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness and Iain De Jong of OrgCode Inc will discuss a new draft toolkit on ending homelessness for people living in encampments. "Ending Homelessness for People Living in Encampments in Canada" outlines considerations for responding to encampments in a manner consistent with the Right to Housing, respects the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, acknowledges political and public pressures, and never loses sight that housing, with person-centred supports, will be the solution to homelessness for the people living in encampments.

The toolkit is designed as a living document and is being released as a draft for discussion. Individuals, organizations and communities are invited to provide comments and feedback.

The webinar will include a presentation on the toolkit, outline plans for community engagement on the toolkit and will include a Q&A period.
