The impact of COVID-19 on hepatitis C services

Globally, the COVID-19 pandemic has led to significant, unprecedented changes to the delivery of healthcare and social services. There is a real concern that these changes in healthcare have led to delays in hepatitis C diagnosis, treatment and ongoing care, with potentially severe health consequences for people who have hepatitis C.

CATIE is hosting a webinar that will explore the impact of COVID-19 on the hepatitis C cascade of care, health outcomes for people living with or cured of hepatitis C, and communities affected by hepatitis C.

We will also explore what lessons we could learn from our response to COVID-19 to achieve our hepatitis C goals.

Moderator: Shriya Hari, COVID-19 Information Specialist and Education Coordinator, CATIE

  • Dr. Naveed Janjua, Executive Director, Data and Analytic Services, B.C. Centre for Disease Control, Clinical Associate Professor, UBC School of Population & Public Health
