Description
This webinar will seek to summarize important progress which had been made towards Climate Resilient Infrastructure over the past 5 years, and will highlight the pathway forward to achieving a resilient built environment. Since 2016, Infrastructure Canada and the National Research Council have been collaborating to successfully integrate climate resiliency into tools, standards, codes and guidelines in the areas of buildings, water/wastewater, bridges, roads and rail transit under the Climate Resilient Buildings and Core Public Infrastructure Initiative.  Join us to find out about the tools and guidance that are now available or are expected to be published imminently as this initiative comes to a conclusion.  Just a few of these important outputs include: future look climatic design data, national guidelines on wildland urban interface design, and guidelines for flood resistant buildings. Learn about how we plan to build upon the scientific evidence and network of expertise established under CRBCPI, as we explore how to enable a culture of resilience in Canada.
