CIHR: Impacts of COVID-19 on Women’s Mental Health and Substance Use

CIHR’s Institute of Neurosciences, Mental Health and Addiction is hosting a virtual learning event on International Women’s Day to discuss the impacts of COVID-19 on women’s mental health and substance use. The event will highlight results from the Knowledge Synthesis Grant: COVID-19 Rapid Research Funding Opportunity in Mental Health and Substance Use and how the research can be used to inform policies, practices, guidelines and programs to improve the mental wellness of women in Canada.

This event is highly recommended for:

  • policy and decision-makers at all levels of government;
  • health care providers, including mental health care and substance use care providers, professional colleges and associations;
  • researchers; and
  • the general population (including but not limited to people with lived/living experience, caregivers, families).

When: Monday, March 8, 2021 at 11:00 ET
Language: English presentation followed by a period of questions and answers in both official languages, English and French
Duration: 120 minutes
