United Nations Research Roadmap for the COVID-19 Recovery: Leveraging the Power of Science for a More Equitable, Resilient and Sustainable Future

Steven J. Hoffman, Scientific Director, CIHR Institute for Population and Public Health

The COVID-19 crisis has exposed stark global inequities, fragilities and unsustainable practices that pre-date this pandemic and have intensified its impact. Invited by the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, Steven J. Hoffman led a 10-week participatory process to develop a UN Research Roadmap that outlines how science and scientific collaboration can spur an equitable global socio-economic recovery. Join this session to learn more about the Roadmap and how researchers, research funders, civil society organizations and governments can use it to guide their work.
